Libraries Horowhenua Heritage Resources at Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō include the following:

  • Horowhenua Historical Society collection - This collection includes a number of photographs and maps,( also available on Kete Horowhenua) with further archives in secure storage.
  • Horowhenua Family History Group - This collection includes books, microfiche and databases and electoral rolls. It is open and easily accessible to everyone.
  • Ancestry Library Edition is free to use within Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō and requires a login and password.
  • Newspapers - Both the Horowhenua Chronicle and Horowhenua Weekly News have bound copies available on request. Earlier copies of the Horowhenua Chronicle are available on Microfilm
  • Support to use the facilities and websites and knowledge of what is available on the Internet.
  • Microfiche readers, PCs. Microfilm reader/printer.
