Track your reading this summer to support native tree planting in our community. Thanks to our friends at Green By Nature - The more you read the more we plant!

For every 100 leaves we earn together we unlock the ability to plant a new tree!

How Can I Earn Leaves?

There are a so many ways to earn leaves, you get one leaf every time you do one of the following.

- Issue Books
- Read 50 Pages or 1 book or Audiobook (equivalent pages)
- Review a book
- Are read to by someone
- Read aloud to someone
- Earn a bonus leaf every time you check in and participate in library activities.

How Do I Keep Track of What I've Read?

Come into your local Libraries Horowhenua Branch and collect your Children’s Edition Read For Trees Booklet, here you can keep track of everything you read as well as completing some of your tasks.

What Kind of Trees Will Be Planted?

Our planting programme helps offset the effects of a warming climate due to their cooling properties, supports a biodiverse ecology and provide shade for our tamariki and much, much more.
